(Schrampfer Betty, Academic reading for the ESL/EFL teacher, 1980 ) Short story is systematic account of happening something that has a setting, a plot or purpose, characteristics and meanings. Betty divided short story into two types :
1. Short story which has total words at generally under good and max 5000 words, an could be read in 15 – 20 minutes.
2. Long story is kind of story that that has total number of words between 5000 until 10000 words or 32 pages it could be read in 60 – 75 minutes.
